Lesson and activity options.
Listed below is an outline of the type of lessons available for adults, teenagers and children.
For children who are complete beginners we run half hour group lead-rein lessons at regular intervals on Saturdays and once off the lead rein, we run half hour group off lead rein lessons and one hour group lessons at different levels on Saturdays, Sundays and some weekdays after school.
Adult and teenager group lessons are run on Saturdays, Sundays and after 6.00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Private lessons can be arranged on any day from 9.30am except Saturdays. Hacking can be booked on any day and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, weather and light permitting.
Adult coffee morning bookings for groups of friends can be organised in the week. Stable management and horse hamdling skills can also be learnt. Prices half of that of riding lessons.
In addition, own-a-pony days are organised during the holidays and on most Tuesday and Thursdays and full days run from 9.30am - 4.00pm. Half days can be booked running from 9.30am - 12.30pm.
Adult own-a-horse days can be run by request.
Show jumping and dressage competitions are each run on four Sundays a year and regular riders can hire a horse or pony if they wish to compete
Extra events are run in the summer holidays.
Courses to prepare riders for the British Horse Society stage 1 and 11 exams are usually run once or twice a year. Please email for details, or to be added to our mailing list for the next course.
Young riders can be trained for and take British Horse Society progressive tests on request.
